Custom Wall Murals

Boxcar’s services range from public relations, marketing, public affairs, event management, communications, and design, but now we are excited to add a different and innovative service to that list; “mural making.”

In our recent office addition, we wanted a way to make our new conference room really pop in a modern way. Our inspiration came from Saul Steinberg’s cover illustration, “View of the World from 9th Avenue” from the March 1976 edition of The New Yorker, which presents the view from Manhattan of the rest of the world showing Manhattan as the center of the world. Our crackerjack Ann Speltz got straight to work, digitally illustrating everything from the national and local landmarks to the small geographical features. We then hired professional muralists to carry out the plan. The end result is more than we expected and a great ice breaker when hosting meetings in our new addition.

When our client Junior Bridgeman saw our new mural, he hired us to create a similar look on a 50 ft. wall in a conference room at his corporate offices, Manna, Inc. This map included a general view of Southern Indiana, Louisville, and Lexington. We also customized it to include Bridgeman’s many businesses, including icons for Wendy’s, Mark’s Feed Stores, Chili’s, and Fazoli’s.

If you’re in need for something that your office or living space is lacking, give us a call! We would love to design a custom mural just for you!
