Generate excitement for the redevelopment plans of Louisville’s 800 Building
Louisville’s 800 Building or the ‘Turquoise Tower of Power” as it came to be called was recently purchased by Village Green, one of the nation’s largest apartment owners and operators. Boxcar coordinated with members of the community and press to organize a press conference to unveil a new name, model unit, and development plans for the building.
The event was covered by each of Louisville’s local television stations in addition to the Courier-Journal and Business First. Community stakeholders and business leaders heard remarks by Metro Council President David Tandy, Karen Lewis of the Louisville Downtown Partnership, and Jonathan Holtzman the CEO of Village Green. Construction is underway at the “800 Tower City Apartments” that will transform the building and downtown living.
A Derby-time press conference featuring a green cab ‘unveiling’ along with social media and grassroots campaigning took Taxi 7 through its state approval process. The company will launch in the coming months.
