Recycled Rides

Boxcar PR client, Oxmoor Auto Group, joined forces with Progressive Insurance, the Red Cross, Cabbage Patch Settlement House, Inc., the National Auto Body Council (NABC), to donate cars to two families through two different charitable programs. Both vehicles were donated by Progressive Insurance and arrived at Oxmoor Collision Center after being in an accident. Over the last two months more than 20 Oxmoor Collision Center technicians volunteered their time outside of business hours to restore these cars to a like-new state.

Boxcar PR handled the public relations for this event successfully garnering media stories on all 4 local TV stations as well as online and print. In addition to the media relations, we assisted in orchestrating the presentation of the cars including media on-sight to interview our client and recipients.

Our client and the program’s partners were thrilled with the exposure and we look forward to executing another successful public relations push at next year’s giveaways.
