Ann Speltz

Brought to you from the “Great White North,” Ann is our resident Crackerjack. Ann is a color genius with enthusiastic passion for visual communication. Our copywriters use words but Ann uses her unbelievable knack for design to communicate a client’s message.

Ann moved to Louisville from her hometown of St. Paul, Minnesota after graduating in 2011 from University of St. Thomas with a Bachelor in Fine Arts from sister school St. Catherine University. After several years with Boxcar, Ann moved back to St. Paul and lucky for us, stayed along and leads “Boxcar of the North” as we like to joke.

Louisville Visual Art Association was Ann’s introduction to the art world of Louisville. She also worked with Cincinnati Magazine as a Stylist Assistant, and gained experience in organization and coordination of wedding photo-shoots.

Ann has been designing at Boxcar for nearly five years. She has led countless rebranding campaigns and has created memorable advertising and social media graphics. She develops Boxcar’s creative content for the Louisville Marriott Downtown, Confluent Health, and Delta Dental. She is also skilled in website design and graphic overhauls. She designed websites for St. Matthews Imports,, and the Cincinnati Parks Levy. She also designed the website and collateral materials for the 2015 passage of House Bill 168 in Kentucky (Kentuckians for Entrepreneurs and Growth).

Away from her stylus and mood boards, Ann loves to visit new shops and restaurants in St. Paul with her husband, baby and dog, Zeppelin. She has completed several marathons, and lists “orangey-pink” as her favorite color.
